DF65 Results 8 Feb'23

At 9.10 there were no sailors and no wind, the former owing to problems on the roads, but by 10am there were 11 sailors, but still no wind. At 10.30 Chris set a short course of 8/R, Y, 0, 8/R which we managed to complete in the allotted 15 minutes. As the morning wore on a little more wind arrived, mainly from the ESE which enabled us to race 8 heats most of which had the longer course of 8/R, Y, 0, 8, R, Y, 0, 8/R. For those who were there, please note that for clarity (too many "O" and "0") the OB buoy is designated "R" and the orange buoy is "Y"!

There was some very close racing with positions often changing on the last leg. Those managing to keep near the front consistently were:

1st: J Richardson (43)

2nd; C Wilson (06)

3rd: J Bennett (002)

Congratulations to them.

The paparazzi (John Arrow) recorded some great photos (attached) of the last race and Maurice with that look of concentration which no doubt led to his winning it!

Best wishes,

Bruce
