I'am having a practice trial on this forum. Thought I would share a few pictures of my HMS Antrim, pictures mostly taken by other members. Hope you enjoy.

I came across this simplified binding procedure that I prepared several years ago. Since many of us use this system (and other similar badged makes), I thought I would add it to the forum. - John Arrow

This rule states what should happen in the event that there is a dispute about whether an overlap existed when the first boat entered the zone of a mark (4 boat lengths) :-

"If there is reasonable doubt that a boat obtained an overlap in time, it shall be presumed that she did not". This dispels the myth that it works the opposite way round. We all understand it is sometimes difficult to see, especially when sailing to a mark directly opposite the bank from a previous mark in line BUT, if there is any doubt about whether an overlap was obtained, err on the side of caution and presume you do not have one.

Dear fellow IOM sailors.

For the IOM series, from the 3rd September, racing will be scored as provided in Appendix A. RRS using the low point system as follows.

POINTS SCORED.

All competitors who competed in the summer series July / August 2021 will be added to the score sheet for the next. This will follow from series to series in the future.

Points will be awarded as follows, 1 point for 1st place, 2 points 2nd place and so on.

Boats which DNS, DNF, DSQ, OCS etc. will be awarded points equaling the number of boats which raced that day + 1.
