Sail news - 3rd April 2021

  1. Race Scoring and the Blog.  Although race scores will continue to be emailed three times a week, Jonathan Blake is also placing them on the Sail Blog page.  When I take photos I will also add selected inages to the relevant blogs, a day or two later.  Bear in mind that the Honours Board is also published on the Sail Page, along with other helpful information, including the new Racing Rules of Sailing.  If you are new to the Club and haven’t raced in big boats for a while, these rules have changed substantially over the last 12-16 years.

  2. Driving in Lakeside Park.  Please remember that it is a continuous effort to protect our privilege to drive and park at the water edge.  So the max. speed is DEAD SLOW.  DEAD SLOW is actually around 3 mph, and can feel unnatural, but please keep to it.  Also, give way to pedestrians and cyclists, which means come to a stop if needed.

Club reopens - 31st March 2021

It's great to be outside again boating, sailing and meeting our friends.

Both the Sail and Scale sections reopened on the 31st March with, of course, all the required Covid restrictions.

We're looking forward to a great summer on the water and maybe even going to a few external events.

I wish every one good health and looking forward to seeing you again soon.
