The forecast wind did not materialise and we were subject to very fluky conditions where some got a lift and some didn't. This resulted in the fleet being fragmented in every race although there were some close finishes with places changing at the last moment.
When it did appear, the wind was generally southerly so a quadrilateral course was set using temporary buoys. The start was between 4 and a temporary buoy, a beat to 8 rounding to port to a temporary wing mark inshore. There was then a run/beat/reach depending where you were in the fleet to 1, up to 2 then repeat with a finish between 5 & 8.
Weed and leaves were a problem for most today, some suffering more than others. With just 4 races completed due to the light winds one discard is given.
John Bennett & Rob Dyer share the laurel wreath on the top step of the podium today with Julian in 3rd. Full results & series leader board below.
