IOM 5th September Race 1

Six Helms arrived with their metre boats and a warm, dry opener to the September-October IOM series. Light breezes filled in from the West after the first race, backing and veering by degrees. The course was straightforward enough:

4/ Pier - (7-Y-3) x 2 - 6/ DO; navigating? Perhaps not so.......

It was good to see Mx14 #96 back again after a spell away. Tom's restored, white Widget also looked good for the first time racing at Lakeside. #85 picked up four line honours, #'s 16 and 96 taking one apiece.

Top trackers today were:- 1st Place - #85 TRS(7); 2nd - #16 JR(11); 3rd - #96 MT(16)
