IOM 9th May Race 1

Seven stalwart skippers turned out to race their IOM RC yachts for

The second scheduled event of the May-June Season series; the

first recorded race so far. ENE breezes waxed and waned, veered

and backed through the morning: giving helms much to think about.

Course 'A' held good for nine races: P/Ob - (Or-3-6-7) x 2 - 3/Or.

Chris' 06 fairly swept the board with 7 line honours! After the break he

introduced us to a new start-line box protocol which received a unanimous

vote of confidence so far, on account of its fairness. Interesting and close racing was enjoyed by all.

Top trio on points:- 1st Place - #06 CW(7); 2nd - #30 CS(20); 3rd - #28 IW(20).
