The largest turnout for quite some time with 13 sailors. We managed 6 races without taking anyone off for observer duties. The weather was a touch brighter and warmer than forecast with a light breeze, generally from around the northwest which sometimes died away or sprang up depending where on the lake you happened to be. So today's course was a bit different with the windward leg start between 5 and temp buoy, beat up to 3, run/reach down to 6, another reach to 7, another beat through the gate of 5 & 8 to 1, a reach to 6, then 7 through the gate of 5 & 8 again to the finish, pier & 4. A couple of races were shortened to 1 lap when the wind was light. There was a little problem with floating weed and leaves and I managed to pick up quite a large beech branch with leaves which ruined one race for me. With the large fleet there were the inevitable contacts with penalties taken as required. JB managed to find the best of the breeze and returned to the top step of the podium with Rob in second place (despite some rudder problems) and Colin in 3rd. Overall an enjoyable day,
