Racing Results 11-Mar'26

10 sailors arrived eager to experience the 10kt W breeze and with a course of X/Y, M, P, X, 1, M, P, X, 1, M/P. racing started a little before 10am. The breeze proved variable both in direction and strength offering challenges particularly rounding buoys M and 1. After 4 races the wind had veered to a more westerly direction and the course was changed substituting 2 for 1. 2 also provided some rounding interest.

Unfortunately, there were a couple of electrical failures and 84 lost power while 142 lost rudder control. Both boats were recovered without the recourse to the rescue dinghy. The top three who managed to stay on the water were:

1st - I White (12)

2nd - J Bennett (18)

3rd - A Smith (37)

Well done to them and to all for some exciting sailing.

Best wishes,

Bruce
