Racing Results 16-Sep'26

9 skippers attended Lakeside looking forward to the forecast 7kt breeze. In the event, it seemed more like 0.7kt at times leading to a rather frustrating morning. The intended course was changed twice before racing started in an attempt (not fully realised) to include a beat. However, the sun shone (most of the time) and 10 heats were raced. 161 experienced a rudder servo failure and sailed off to the reeds on the south bank, but was rescued by its skipper with a long pole obviating the need to launch the safety boat.

Those managing to be at the front today were:

1st - C Wilson (12)

2nd - M Harcourt (13)

3rd - I White (17)

Well done to them.

Best wishes,

Bruce
