DF65 Racing Results 21-Aug'24

11 skippers attended the 8th round of the Jul-Aug series with the prospect of enjoying a forecast 8kn SSW breeze. In the event there were calms, gusts of 12kn and ever changing directions for anything in between. However, the course of B/A, R, 0, 8, R, 0, 8/P lasted for all 8 heats and provided much varied sailing and some close finishes.

IOM 16th August Race 7

Four competitors turned out to sail their IOM class yachts this morning. MT forwarded the results - here they be after being processed via 'Sailwave'.

Eight races were recorded - well done for staying the course.

1st Place - #06 CW; 2nd - #03 RH; 3rd - #96 MT.

DF65 Racing Results 14-Aug'24

EDMBC Sailors are clearly keen sailors with 14 turning out when there was little prospect of wind and more than a chance of drizzle. As it happened the forecast N breeze was light and variable and the drizzle intermittent and constant concentration was needed to make the most of the puffs when they came. Chris set a course of 4/R, 0, B, 8, A, 0, B, 8, B/A, which provided many opportunities to gain or lose places, but the light winds only allowed 5 heats.
