A sunny day, which started with just enough breeze to give us hope, but giving us a stiff racing breeze by midday. David Redfern took by yacht, 44, after tea break, allowing me to take a few photos, with my feet up!

Most of us hit an underwater obstacle, near the lee mark, at some stage during the morning. It was probably a drifting branch, so Chris and Team tried to lasso it at tea break, sadly without success. Perhaps we will meet it again in future weeks!

Trawling for the Lakeside Monster

As Michael has said, it was a great morning of racing, with idyllic weather. Just a little too idyllic on a few occasions, and in a few patches. Hey, that's Lakeside!

And the men behind the transmitters. Tom spent a while looking in to Tony's winch problem. Hopefully that will be fixed next week.
