DF65 Racing 16 Aug'23

13 skippers arrived for the 7th race in the July-August series and for a time it looked like sunbathing was going to be the most likely activity of the morning. However a short course of 4/Y,0,4,Y,0,4,Y,0/1 was set and there was just enough breeze mainly from a NNW direction to get things going. After 4 races and coffee, 0 was changed to 1 to make a better beat. This continued for another 3 races, but for the last, as we were running out of time, we just had one lap using 0 again.

With the lulls and not so lulls there was plenty of opportunity to be in the right (or wrong) place at the right (or wrong time) resulting in the gain (or loss) of places.

Those who fared best were:

1st: J Bennett (002)

2nd: I White (28)

3rd: R Dyer (25)

Well done to them and all for an enjoyable morning.

Best wishes,

Bruce
