My thanks go to Roger for supplying today's racing details:
A light but fairly consistent southerly breeze welcomed the eight DF65 sailors who congregated at the lakeside equipped with washing equipment and other hazmat paraphernalia to ward off the effects of blue-green algae. The level in the lake is the lowest it’s been for some considerable time and resembled low water springs. A number of unscheduled groundings took place during the morning but the rescue boat was not needed. The start line comprised the right side of the jetty and the big orange buoy. The pin end (jetty) was usually favoured but on occasions there’d be a right shift seconds before the start which caught a few napping. The recent heatwave had abated for the day with an overcast morning and comfortable temperatures. Five sailors took line honours in the eight races that were sailed.
Best wishes,
Bruce
