DF65 Racing Results 24-Jul'24

8 skippers arrived in warm sunny weather hoping that the initial breeze would strengthen. Unfortunately, this was not to happen until the last couple of races, but we managed 9 with a course of A/B, P, 0, 8/P used for the first. A/B, P, 0, P, 0, 8/P used for the rest apart from one which included going round the outside of B between 0 and P and A between P and 0. This latter was abandoned as it provided little alternative sailing strategies. Whilst the wind was nominally SW, it was highly variable and often very light providing some interesting buoy roundings and finishes.

Those on the podium today are:

1st - J Bennett (14)

2nd - I White (15)

3rd - C Wilson (20)

Congratulations to them and to all for an enjoyable morning's sailing.

Best wishes,

Bruce
