DF65 Racing Results 27-Aug'25

I am grateful to Roger for the details of today's racing.

A strong south-westerly breeze ensured some exciting sailing for the eight DF65 sailors who had come prepared for the forecast showers. A start line between the big orange buoy and a laid mark saw a good deal of exciting manoeuvres in the pre-start and there was a good beat to the brown buoy before a short reach to a spreader mark. From there it was a run to 1 which produced its fair share of wipe-outs during the morning. The second lap involved a fetch (usually) to 3 and then another beat to the windward mark, before rounding the spreader buoy and 1 and then finishing on the start/finish line. The races were fast and furious and 10 were able to be sailed in the allotted time.

Congratulations to today's top three:

1st - J Bennett (14)

2nd - R Brydges (21)

3rd - J Richardson (23)

and to the series podium:

1st - C Wilson (12)

2nd - J Richardson (13)

3rd - I White (20)

and particularly to all the 13 sailors who made it all possible.

Best wishes,

Bruce
