DF65 Racing Results 3-Sep'25

With rain gear at the ready, 6 stalwart sailors braved the gusts, squalls and rain showers to compete in the first round of the Sep-Oct series. Rig sizes were discussed but in the event, all chose A+. Chris set a course of B/R, M, A, 1, 3, M, A, 1, B/R (M=mustard!) and 9 heats were raced. Whilst boats frequently got knocked down on the beats, broaching on the run from A to 1 could prove very costly. Those on the top three steps today were:

1st - J Bennett (12)

2nd - R Brydges (15)

3rd - B Ryde-Weller (19)

Thanks to all for an exciting (and exhausting) morning's sail.

Best wishes,

Bruce
