DF65 Resulta 7 September'22

8 skippers arrived at Lakeside for the first round of the Sep-Oct series in glorious sunshine only to be rained on periodically once racing started. The wind was mainly a light S-SW, but with gusts which were stronger towards the end of the morning. A sausage shaped course of 0/W,8,OB,W,0,8,OB,W,0,4/LHpier was set with the upwind leg giving plenty of position changing opportunities.

John S had a rudder failure and Bruce a winch failure, but despite the rain an enjoyable morning was had by all.

The top three: J Bennett (002), J Richardson (43), M Clayton (03). Congratulations to them.

Best wishes,

Bruce
