IOM 16th May Race 3

Ten IOM sailors turned out to compete in the 3rd round of the series. Bo'sun launched the rescue boat to adjust a few race marks before sailing started in earnest.

Course 'B': P/Ob (y-5-7) x 2 - 3/Or was employed for 8/9 races; after the first race

course 'A' went back in the virtual ditty bag for later. Sunshine and breeze kept everyone in buoyant spirits for the morning. Skipper of #33 rowed out to free his boat from across the water. Today's line honours were fairly commanded by #85 after two discards and one 3rd place; three remaining firsts were shared out to #06, #33 and #16. Fair racing was enjoyed by all the fleet, with plenty of scope for gaining, and missing a tactical advantage.

Top three on points:- 1st Place - #85 TRS(9); 2nd - #28 IW(20); 3rd - #06 CW(24).
