Please find below and attached today's IOM roundup and results.
9 competitors in a brisk breeze from the E backing NE sometimes near the top of the A rigs everyone sported today.
Four course changes throughout the morning culminating in a quadrangle with a sometimes difficult beat from Buoy 6 to 7. 10 heats in total giving two discards.
Some very close racing although there were a number of incidents where boats failed to give the room required. I'm not naming names but a close inspection of the rules is required by some. A contact between another boat and mine in heat 9 when I was clearly right of way and unable to take avoiding action destroyed by rig settings causing me to come last in the final 2 heats.
Five different sailors claimed first place today. Well done again to John Bennett who tops the leaderboard today. 2nd was Michael with Maurice just one point behind in 3rd.
The leaderboard shows John Bennett in first place, Michael Thomas in 2nd and Chris Wilson holding up third. There is just one more race in this shortened series due to the Covid Lockdown.
Sail fast sail fair. Michael Thomas
