Racing Results 11-Dec'24

13 skippers arrived at Lakeside to contest the 5th sailed round of the Nov-Dec series (racing having been abandoned on 4-Dec owing to lack of wind). Chris set a course of P/R, 0, P, 7, 0, P, 7, B/A, which provided a long beat between 7 and 0 where different strategies and wind shifts enabled many places to be gained or lost. The forecast 7kn NE never really materialised and seemed to drop as the morning wore on. Julyan's rudder servo decided it didn't want to play today, so he borrowed Chris' spare boat (9), but was still scored as "43".

The top three today were:

1st - J Bennett (8)

2nd - I White (18)

3rd - J Richardson (20)

Well done to them and to all for an entertaining, if cold, morning.

Best wishes,

Bruce

8 sailors enjoyed a dry sunny morning with a decent 8kn SSW breeze, which annoyingly seemed to have holes just where you had decided to sail to. Never mind, 8 heats were raced, initially over a course
