Racing Results 14-Jan'26

Thank you to Roger for the details of the sailing:

Seven skippers arrived at the lake after having had to battle with severely iced up cars and rubbish traffic. The breeze was precisely as forecast i.e. very light from the east. So light in fact that tacking was often not possible so very slow gybes often had to be executed instead. A very basic course was set comprising a start/finish line from the jetty to 3, the light brown buoy as a turning mark, back to yellow and then to the finish. An extra lap was added for the last two races but exciting it was not.

Horticultural activities took place for a couple of hours afterwards which should improve the consistency of breezes across the lake from southerly and westerly directions for the foreseeable future.

Congratulations to:

1st - J Richardson

2nd - J Bennett

3rd - I White

for managing the conditions the best and to all who came and helped with the vegetation removal afterwards.

Best wishes,

Bruce
