Racing Results 18-Feb'26

7 sailors met at Lakeside to compete in the 5th round of the Jan-Feb series. It was a cold morning, light drizzle and a fresh ESE breeze. The course for the first heat was P/M, 3, 2(S), Y(S), 3(S), 4(S), Y/1. This was amended to 3/O, Y, 4, O, Y, 4, 3, Y/1 for the next 2 and then for the remaining 9 to 3/O, Y, 5, M, Y, 5, M, 3/O. Julyan and Nick opted for A rigs whilst the rest of the fleet was on A+. The A+ sailors had to content with nosedives and broaches in the gusts, but marginally won in the lulls. Unfortunately, Nick had to leave after heat 3 and Ian had some rig problems, but those taking the honours today were:

1st - J Bennett (22)

2nd - J Richardson (25)

3rd - R Brydges (27)

Well done to all!

Best wishes,

Bruce
