Racing Results 22-Jan'25

11 skippers attended a chilly Lakeside to compete in the 2nd race in the Jan-Feb series (races scheduled for 1st and 15th having been cancelled owing to poor weather). Chris set a course of P/R, A, B, P, 7, R, A, B, P, 7, B/A, but after the first race, which took 20 minutes, 7 was removed as was R on the second lap leaving a square followed by a triangle. Whilst the wind direction was reasonably stable, the strength varied from very little to not a lot and rounding of windward buoys was often a challenge. Some hang-ups occurred and different strategies on the beats sometimes provided different results.

Those mainly getting it right today were:

1st - C Wilson (9)

2nd - I White (15.5)

3rd - J Richardson (17.5)

A dead heat for 2nd place in heat 7 providing the ".5"s
