9 sailors attended Lakeside to compete in the first round of the Nov-Dec series. The weather was dry and chilly, but there was a light NE breeze which filled in as the morning progressed providing some spirited sailing including a few broaches. The course was set as M/P, R, 4, 7, R, 4, 7, M/P and after the first race amended to add 6 between 4 and 7 on both laps. 9 heats were raced and tactics on the beat from 4 to 7 often proved the difference between places and there were some very close finishes. 622 lost battery power and headed to a secluded spot on the southern bank, but Nick rowed after her to effect the recovery.

Those on the podium today were:

1st - J Bennett (13)

2nd - C Wilson (17)

3rd - J Richardson (19)

Well done to them and to all for an enjoyable morning's sailing.

Best wishes,

Bruce
