A great turnout of eight competitors.

Two skippers helmed different boats to usual, one by choice, the other by circumstance.

Sail numbers remain unchanged for the purposes of series scoring etc.

Chris W had anticipated a diagonal start line early on in course planning. Two crew planted three race marks: Yellow(Y), Orange/Black(OB ), Orange/ Red(OR).

Hence:- Start 7/Y -4-7-OB-OR-4-7-OB- Fin' 3/ OR..

The very useful, yet shifting breeze at times offered advantages to tail-enders as well as setbacks for front-runners.

A Virtual Triple Ripple of recognition to:- 1st Place - #15 RD, 2nd - JB #80, 3rd - CW #6.

10 skippers arrived but unfortunately, the wind decided not to. Chris set a short cour

se of 8/OB, Y, W, 8, OB, Pier/O and set a time limit of 15 minutes for the first race. It was abandoned. The wind rose very slightly but not always from the same direction and we managed 6 heats in all.

Those who managed the conditions best were 1st - C Wilson (06), 2nd - J Bennett (002), 3rd - R Dyer (25) - congratulations to them and everyone else for staying the course.

Best wishes,

Bruce

Great to see nine boats on the water. As the light breeze gradually increased, so were course lengths, and eventually course angles modified for competitive interest. Thanks to Chris Wilson various residentual race marks were manually brought back into play before the start of racing.

Top players today:- 1st Place - RH #03, 2nd - RD #15, 3rd - IW #59.
