DF65 Racing Results 14-Feb'24

10 skippers arrived in cloudy drizzle to race round 6 of the Jan-Feb series. With a 10kn SW breeze, Chris set a course of 3/O, 8, B, 0, 1, 8, B, 0, 1, 4/A and 9 heats were raced. Although the wind seemed fairly constant on the bank, getting to 8 using the westerly, easterly or some route in between often proved interesting. Ian cracked his mast stub early on and Roger had a winch fail, but he borrowed one of Chris' spares which had an A rig. Chris and Rob shared 4 first places each and Chris just won the round by a whisker; the full podium being:

1st - C Wilson (06)

2nd - R Dyer (25)

3rd - J Richardson (43)

Thanks to Ian for manning the scoresheet after his mast stub breakage and to all for an interesting morning's sail.

Best wishes,

Bruce
