DF65 Racing Results 16-Apr'25

I am indebted to Roger for providing the score sheet, course and commentary:

A stiff breeze and threatening clouds welcomed nine sailors to the lake including a debut performance from Nick Tattersall sailing one of Chris’s boats (00). The wind was primarily SSW, but in the gusts would sometimes veer 40-50°. The start line between a laid mark and 2 gave a good beat to the pink mark and then a short fetch or sometimes a reach to a laid mark inshore. After that it was a hairy run or broad reach to the new bright yellow mark before reaching out to 1 and another lap of the rectangular course. The finish line was between 4 and 8. Julyan made his A Rig work well while everyone else was easing sheets or simply hanging on in the gusts with the A+. The rain mostly stayed away but it was day for wrapping up warm. A good morning was had by all.

Best wishes,

Bruce
