DF65 Racing Results 30-Oct'24

Despite the forecast of light winds, 14 skippers came to Lakeside to compete in the final round of the Sep-Oct series. The wind did build a little through the morning, but so did the prevalence of gusts and lulls. Chris set a course of 8/P, 0, 8, P, 0, 8, P, B/R which held through the morning and enabled 8 heats to be raced. There was the inevitable bunching at buoys, particularly 0 where there were frequent lulls and getting across the finish line was sometimes challenging.

Those who found the quickest way round today were:

1st - R Dyer (7)

2nd - R Brydges (18)

3rd - I White (20)

The series podium is:

1st - J Richardson (9)

2nd - C Wilson (14)

3rd - J Bennett (17)

Congratulations to them and also to all the 14 skippers who took part in the series and contributed the enjoyment of racing.

Best wishes,

Bruce
