DF65 Racing Results 9-Oct'24

12 sailors came to Lakeside which was bathed in sunshine, but with only a light NW breeze. Chris set a course of P/8, 0, 8, A, R, B, 8, A, B/R, and we managed only 5 heats giving just 1 discard.

It was good to be able to welcome both our new members; David Hopkins, whose boat (46) is in the process of being built and so sailed "9" borrowed from Chris and Marcus Swalwell, who has a 95 and had come to watch.

The fickle wind sometimes caused bunching at marks and at other times strung out the fleet as it whispered across the lake.

Those in the right place at the right time were:

1st - J Richardson (6)

2nd - R Brydges (12)

3rd - I White (15)

Well done to them and to all who for contributing to an enjoyable morning's sail.

Best wishes,

Bruce
