DF65 Results 28 Dec'22

9 competitors arrived at a wet windswept Lakeside for the final round of 2022.

Unfortunately, Roger had a switch failure on his tx and had to retire before racing started, but everyone else managed to stay the course with a variety of A+, A and B rigs. Chris set a course of O/4, Y, OB, 4, Y, OB, O/Pier which was fine even when by the last race buoy 4 had decided to visit buoy 3 so gave a slightly different shape. Sailing was brisk and 8 heats were completed, with a break, in record time and the top three this week were:

1st - J Richardson (43)

2nd - J Bennett (002)

3rd - C Wilson (06)

The podium for the series is:

1st - J Bennett (002) (by virtue of having the lower score in the last race)

2nd - C Wilson (06)

3rd - J Richardson (43)

As it is the end of the year, I have scored the annual result by taking the 6 series results and the full table is on page 2 of the attached pdf. Top three are:

1st - J Bennett (002)

2nd - J Richardson (43)

3rd - C Wilson (06)

Many congratulations to them and to all 27 who at sometime in the year sailed their DF65s.

We look forward to a new year starting on Wednesday 4th January and I hope to see you there!

Best wishes,

Bruce
