DF65 Racing Results 2-Apr'25

I am indebted to Roger for this morning's scoresheet, commentary and course details.

A brisk NNE-ENE breeze of 10-20 knots greeted the fleet of 13. Chris set a course with as close to a windward start as was possible with a windward mark close inshore to the north of the pontoon. Then there was a spreader mark before reaching out to the big orange mark in the centre of the lake before running down to the orange mark that had been the outer distance mark for the start. Then it was round again before a beating finish between a laid orange mark and 2. There were some hefty gusts, rudder waggling and wipeouts in the course of the nine races sailed. John Bennett was master of the conditions recording five wins. Well done to him and all those who enjoyed a spirited morning of racing.

Best wishes,

Bruce
