IOM 13th December Race 7

Six competitors made it to the start of racing today.

A light breeze arrived before 10 a.m., steadied, occasionally veering East by South through the morning: conditions proved suitable for the following course, for which #3 mark was replaced by #4 after two races, and an extension of two laps made for the remaining five:-

               Start 4/ 8 - (1-4-7) x 2 - Fin' Bo/Or.

A close reach or fetch to the first mark, a broad reach to the second, some windward tacking to the third and more or less a run up the lake to #1 as well as the finish line.

A light drizzle held off until the end of play.

It was good to see retired club member, Martin's scratch-built Frank Russell designed 'EMO' back in commission.

Top three on points today:-

1st Place - #16 JR (10); 2nd - #06 CW (10); 3rd - #63 IW (19).
