Just 6 sailors today with light rain and light winds to start. The rain let up shortly after racing got underway over a long triangular course using the whole length of the lake from 1 to 7 with 4 between.
The strongest opponent today was the weed which affected everyone. Certainly it did for me, causing two last place finishes. So although I had 3 wins out of the 6 heats I only managed 2nd overall. John Bennett didn't win a heat today but his consistency with four second places gave him overall top podium position. Maurice with 2 heat wins came 3rd overall today.
So that's the series completed.
We had a total of 13 competitors over the series of six race days. We lost one day due to the covid restrictions in early May and 2 days due to bad weather.
Congratulations to John Bennett 1st, Rob Dyer 2nd and Colin Salter 3rd.
They would have nothing to celebrate without the competition from all competitors so please keep coming. We must all try harder to knock JB off his podium, he's winning too often!
Michael.
