Racing Results 18-Dec'24

Updated: Dec 29, 2024

7 skippers attended Lakeside for the final DF65 round of the year. There was a top of the A+ range SW breeze and it was dry and unseasonably warm. Chris set a course of 8/R, 7, R, 1, B. 7. R, 1, 8/R and 9 heats were raced. Whilst the breeze kept up for the most part, there were lulls and rounding 7 was often problematic. Unfortunately, the final heat only had places 1, 2 and 3 recorded, and lack of memory has meant that places 4, 5 and 6 have been averaged - each boat is awarded 5 points.

After all that excitement the top three today were:

1st - I White (14)

2nd - J Richardson (16)

3rd - R Brydges (19)

The series podium is:

1st - C Wilson (11)

2nd - J Richardson (16)

3rd - R Brydges (20)

Congratulations to them and to all 16 sailors who took part in the series.

The 2024 leaderboard podium is:

1st - C Wilson (8)

2nd - J Richardson (9)

3rd - J Bennett (11)

Congratulations to them and also to all 24 sailors who made Wednesday mornings enjoyable and challenging.

Merry Christmas to all and see you on New Years Day for the first round of 2025.

Best wishes,

Bruce

8 sailors viewed the resident cormorant and the mist on the lake for 90 minutes hoping that some wind would arrive. Chris had brought his scratch-built mirror, which sailed rather well in the very lig

8 sailors enjoyed a dry sunny morning with a decent 8kn SSW breeze, which annoyingly seemed to have holes just where you had decided to sail to. Never mind, 8 heats were raced, initially over a course
