DF65 Racing Results 7-May'25

Many thanks to Roger for the results and details of this morning's sailing.

A chilly but slowly warming NNE breeze that contained spirited gusts gave some very good racing for the eight skippers contesting the first event of the May/June series. The start line was reasonably true for the most part but the beat up the lake contained the standard Eastleigh holes and mad windshifts. The windward mark was laid quite close inshore which gave some close-up action when rounding. The long downwind leg from big orange to 6 allowed places to won and lost in equal measure with the mark roundings at 6 and 7 often accompanied by a squall. Nine races were able to be sailed with John Bennett proving to be the master of the conditions.

Best wishes,

Bruce
